Page 2 of Blair's book

Here's the second page from Preston Blair's book - at least, the copy I own.

For some reason he changed it over time since its original printing, as seen below:

MGM copyright problems? Maybe, but he still features Barney Bear on page 1 of my copy. Well, it just gives me more stuff to draw!

Jake, thanks for the comment on my blog. You're doing a great job on these. It's a pain doing all the angles, yeah, but I thought it was worth it. I didn't think I should rush through it or skip some of the steps just to finish. I liked John K's advice about trying to get my drawing to match as closely as possible - if it wasn't for that, I would not have tried so hard.

It turned out there were copyright issues with some of the characters in the original book, so that's why they changed in later editions. I prefer the originals! No Tom and Jerry in the later editions? Forget that!

Keep it up - you're doing great.
